Kanter
Enes Kanter is a amazing talent the will probably never wear Kentucky Blue. Since he played pro ball with the Turkish International Team, he was paid, according the the New York Post, $100,000, him and his family. It seems like to me that they owners of his pro team over seas just wants to make sure he makes money off this kid. I mean, the kid has been playing professionally since he was 14 because he was such a great prospect. The money that he received was for living expenses for him and his family because he was so young. So he was just getting the bare minimum so he could travel and play, there was no contract between Kanter and the team. FIBA rules say that he cannot sign a contract with a pro team until he is 18 years old. So Kanter should be free to do whatever he wants because he just turned 18 this past May. Its all about money. Kanter just wants to play ball in America, and why not, he has been living in the states for over a year now. Those owners over seas just want the money he can bring them. They could care less about Enes Kanter or his family, they have been using them for the last 4 years. He may never see the inside of Rupp Arena, but the whole affair needs to be looked at closely and evaluated so that it never happens again. But, if we do somehow get Kanter eligible to play, look out Big Blue Nation, we will be pretty dam good again.
