Who's to Blame

The Eric Bledsoe story is more like the movie, " The Never Ending Story."  Now the story is, "Did Bledsoe take and pass Alegebr 3 with a A average before he took Algebra 1 and 2?"  Answer, " Who cares!"  Bledsoe is happily in the NBA making millions of dollars now, why are we still having talking about him.  Nah! I think he was failing Algebr1 and past Algebra 3 with a A average, or something like that.  Like I said before, it does not matter now.  The thing that burn me up is fact that UK is even associated with this mess of a situation.  The question that needs to be addressed by the University of Kentucky is why are we in this mess.  Is it Bledsoe"s fault, a kid who wanted to play ball for Coach Cal and have a shot at the NBA?  Is it UK's fault for not knowing about every piece of information in Bledsoe's past and about his high school?  How about the high school in Alabama for allegedly giving him grades? Or can we place the blame firmly on Coach Cal's shoulders?  The Hosscat believes that Big Blue Nation can start with Coach Cal, that would be the safest place to start.  Then fans can look at the University, because the coach can only do what the University allows him to do.  Change has got to come if UK is to prosper in the way that Kentucky wants to prosper.  That way is tradition,  hard work, and excellence from players that want to play for the blue and white. Great programs don't have to do anything shady to win. That is what makes them great.

Kanter

Enes Kanter is a amazing talent the will probably never wear Kentucky Blue.  Since he played pro ball with the Turkish International Team, he was paid, according the the New York Post, $100,000, him and his family.  It seems like to me that they owners of his pro team over seas just wants to make sure he makes money off this kid.  I mean, the kid has been playing professionally since he was 14 because he was such a great prospect.  The money that he received was for living expenses for him and his family because he was so young.  So he was just getting the bare minimum so he could travel and play, there was no contract between Kanter and the team. FIBA rules say that he cannot sign a contract with a pro team until he is 18 years old.  So Kanter should be free to do whatever he wants because he just turned 18 this past May.  Its all about money.  Kanter just wants to play ball in America, and why not, he has been living in the states for over a year now. Those owners over seas just want the money he can bring them. They could care less about Enes Kanter or his family, they have been using them for the last 4 years.  He may never see the inside of Rupp Arena, but the whole affair needs to be looked at closely and evaluated so that it never happens again.  But, if we do somehow get Kanter eligible to play, look out Big Blue Nation, we will be pretty dam good again.

If you were grading this blog, what kind of grade would you give it?
