New Rumor

I heard a rumor today from one of the Big Blue Nation that there will not be a NBA draft next year and every player uk recruits will be there for at least 2 years. I think we as fans are willing to create what every fantasy we have to to believe that out team is ok. Don't kid yourself Big Blue Nation. No draft doesn't mean better team and national championship. It just means those players will have to wait longer, that's if they don't go over seas or to the D league to get to the NBA. Lot of options for kids to get to the league if they want to go.But we as fans need to look at the big picture. What do we as fans want? Championships! We want to be the best college basketball program in the nation hands down. Not North Caroline, not Duke, not Kansas, not UCLA, we want UK to always be number one. In order for that to happen we have to keep our players for more than a year or two. One and done won't build us, Big Blue Nation, but it will destroy us a whole lot quicker than we think.

BIG BLUE NATION! I think we have bought into a system that doesn't fit our standards as a basketball school. Yes want the best players this country has to offer. Yes we want to win and win right now. We also want to continue our tradition of winning tradition and hang national championship banners in Rupp. We have one major reason why that won't happen. Coach John Calipari. He has turned UK into the D League for pro prospects coming out of high school. Every good player we get from now on is one and done. How do you build a program when you are constantly rebuilding and starting from the ground zero. Big blue nation, we made a deal with the devil and we will pay for it. I am the biggest UK fan, since I could walk, but you got to look at the facts. Coach Cal has been under some recruiting allegation at Umass and Memphis. He never has the same team two years in a row. I just found out that all his teams in the past have been terrible free throw shooting teams. And most important, he has never won a national championship. Big blue nation! The storm is coming.
